A four storey building has collapsed in Nakuru County.
It is still unclear what made the building collapse although preliminary reports indicate that the building was declared unfit for usage by the National Construction Authority (NCA).
Rescue efforts are currently underway in the area to save people who could have been trapped.
Four people have been evacuated from the building as the rescue efforts led by Redcross response team continue.
The building is located along Mburu Gichua road in the town, it accomodates several business enterprises.
According to most witnesses within Nakuru (CBD), the building was on the verge of collapsing.
Some of the residents also indicate that the building was marked 'X' this morning.
They also indicated that one person was hit by a lorry while trying to flee as the building collapsed at around 5.30 pm.
Other reports indicate that some of those trapped are trying to get in touch with those outside through phone calls.
