A video has emerged on social media exposing a government administrator lying drunk while in official uniform.
The drunken stupor chief, who identifies himself as Joseph Rotich, goes ahead to excite his audience which is busy recording the rare spectacle.
In the video, a resident questions the chief on the crackdown that has been ongoing regarding illegal brews, but Rotich expresses that he doesn't care about it.
“I know about Uhuru Kenyatta's order but I as Joseph must drink. I don't care about that order,” he is heard saying in a slurry voice.
The intoxicated administrator is seen posing comfortably to the 'moment of fame' and even goes ahead to ask an officer whether she is satisfied with the filmed shot.
The recording emerges amid efforts by Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho who has ordered the sacking of several chiefs accused of abetting brewing and sale of illicit alcohol in their areas.
