Instruction to Bidders

The auctioneer directed interested bidders to visit Kenya Post Bank Pension Towers to purchase the catalogue showing details of each vehicle. The catalogue is valued at Ksh500.

Thereafter, the viewers who identify the type of locomotive they want are expected to visit the respective locations the cars are being held for viewing.

"All interested bidders may view the items from the date of the advert to May 22, 2024 on weekdays during normal working hours to verify all the details for themselves as these are neither warranted by NTSA nor the appointed auctioneer.'

"All the items are being sold on an as-is-where-is basis and the sale is subject to a reserve price," read the notice in part.

The successful bidders must pay a deposit of 10% of the purchase price by the close of business of the auction date and the balance within 14 days or risk losing both the bid number and the deposit. All payments must be through eCitizen.

"The purchased items must be collected upon full payment and within 14 days from the date of auction failure to which sold items/vehicles will attract a daily storage fee of Ksh 1,000 per day," cautioned NTSA.

Unsuccessful bidders will be refunded their bid number deposit by the auctioneer within 7 days after the auction.
